Prayer Ministry

Jesus, Teach Us to Pray.

The word of the Lord for Antioch this year comes from Luke 11:1-13, “Jesus, teach us to pray.”

We believe prayer is an essential part of growing and developing a passion for Jesus and His purposes in the earth, and that it is our most effective tool to see His Kingdom released. The Prayer Ministry exists to provide opportunities for everyone at Antioch to seek God’s face and to learn to pray continually while partnering with community and contending for specific nations and situations.

We are committed to seeking His face so, every Friday at 7 p.m. in the Underground (located in the office building) we have Encounter Night. This is an opportunity for us to come together for an extended time of worship and prayer as we learn to hear God’s voice and respond to His heart.

Every Tuesday and Thursday we gather to put a stake in the ground and pray for breakthrough in our lives, in our nation and in the nations of the earth. Join us in the Prayer and Equipping Center (located at Fort and 20th) at 6:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to pray.

We believe there is power in the people of God coming together to pray. We encourage Lifegroups and sections to join together to step into what God has for them in prayer. If your Lifegroup would like to reserve the Prayer and Equipping Center for a prayer time, do so here.

We offer prayer times throughout the week called, Prayer Shields, that have a special focus on a specific nation or situation. We encourage you to join a Prayer Shield or sign up to facilitate a group. You can view this calendar to see scheduled prayer shields or email if you are interested in starting a new prayer shield.
